General Requirements - Checklist

As PAVO Volleyball Officials, there are a few steps that much be completed each year in order to remain in good standing:

1. Register with PAVO and choose GBO (Georgia Board of Officials) as your local board. Don’t forget to complete registration with the NCAA and NAIA Central Hubs.

2. Keep on schedule with your Practical Ratings.

3. Attend the required, pre-season, in-person PAVO/NCAA Clinic (See Meetings). There are separate clinics for referees, line judges, and scorers. You must attend each clinic annually to maintain each of these certifications.

4. Complete your pre-season, online test.  To prepare for the referee test, the GBO recommends purchasing a subscription to RefSchool .

5. Referees must complete the required PAVO iREF Modules.

 Membership generally runs from June through the end of May each year.
